Man charged in 2010 after having sex with horses arrested again on similar charges

FLORIDA -- A man who was arrested on charges of animal cruelty in 2010 for having sexual contact with horses in Gadsden County was arrested Monday morning after authorities received at tip, said Capt. Jim Corder of the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.

Capt. Corder said the homeowners of the barn Linn was in reviewed surveillance and alerted GCSO.

A team of officers was sent out to do surveillance and apprehended Linn early Monday morning.

According to Capt. Corder, Patrick Louis Linn, 44, was in the barn the morning he was arrested and was apprehended as he was making his way back to his house, which is in the area of the barn. Linn was in the same barn with the same horses from the 2010 incident, said Capt. Corder.

"He was engaging in lewd and lascivious acts," Corder said.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office along with the State Attorney’s Office in Gadsden County is currently conducting the investigation.

Linn was released from incarceration in May and according to Corder had not had any contact with the owners of the propery or law enforcement since he was not on probation after he was released.

Linn was released from prison May 22, according to Florida Department of Corrections records. Linn is being held in Gadsden County Jail. Circuit Judge Kathy Garner increased Linn’s bond this morning to $47,000.
