VIRGINIA -- A dog attacked a Prince George deputy, leaving him with some pretty painful injuries.
The deputy was checking on some people inside a home on the 10,000 block of South Crater Road when a pit bull that was locked up somehow got out.
It bit the deputy first on his knee and then on his hand, leaving him with some deep wounds and bruises.
The deputy is recovering at home.
Meanwhile Animal Control has the dog.
There's no word on if any charges will be filed against the dog owner.
