TEXAS -- A San Juan man is under arrest after a neighbor told police he saw the man perform a sexual act on a dog.
San Juan Police Department Sgt. Rudy Luna said Jose Angel Hernandez, 54, was charged with public lewdness on Friday. The class A misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and one year in jail.
Luna said the neighbor reported that he saw Hernandez inside his dog’s kennel when he went outside to feed the animal Tuesday morning. The man said he saw the suspect jump the fence after he was spotted.
Luna said while Hernandez is not a registered sex offender, he was arrested for indecent exposure by San Juan police last year.
Hernandez’s bond was set at $1,000.
