Police shoot pit-bull after dog's owner releases dog to avoid drug investigatior

FLORIDA -- Orlando police investigating a drug case fatally shot a pit-bull after the dog's owner released the animal on officers, reports show.

Officers with the drug enforcement division were investigating at 736 Solandra Drive on Tuesday night when the dog's owner released the pit bull "to avoid further investigation of the drug offense."


Police said the dog was very aggressive toward the detectives, and was shot.

Drugs were found during the search and police arrested Justin Case Mullins, 31, and Theresa Meredith Jankovik, 27.
