WISCONSIN -- Janesville police are asking for the public’s help in locating a dog that bit a 46-year-old man Saturday night.
When the victim went into his backyard in the 400 block of Lincoln Street to tend to his dog, which was tied up, he found it was being attacked by a pit bull.
While trying to separate the dogs, the man was bitten and scratched, according to the news release.
The pit bull was described as an adult male with a dark brown or black coat and a white spot on his chest.
