KANSAS -- Animal Control officer Shawn Michael Frye is “no longer employed” by Clay Center Police, according to Clay Center Police Chief Bill Robinson.
Frye’s end of employment as animal control officer follows a couple of hunting citations from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
According to tickets filed in the Clay County District Court, Frye was cited for two counts of aiding and abetting hunting from vehicles onto private property east of 1440 12th Road on Dec. 8.
Frye has not yet paid the fine for the citations. He is scheduled to appear in Clay County District Court on Feb. 4.
