CALIFORNIA -- A man who was viciously attacked by his pit bull stabbed the dog after he and a second person were bitten multiple times, police said.
The Stockton Police Department said officers responded to the 1900 block of North San Joaquin Street on Wednesday to reports of a dog attack.
The dog's owner told officers he was forced to stab his pit bull during a struggle in the kitchen, according to police.
The owner and a second man suffered bite wounds and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The dog was taken to an emergency veterinarian clinic, where it later died, police said.
