Teen charged with animal cruelty

TEXAS -- A city teen was arrested Thursday on two counts of animal cruelty after his family’s pet required veternarian care to remove a sexual aid, according to a report released Tuesday by police.

The Cumberland County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reported to the police that the female dog required medical attention after an incident in the 800 block of College Drive

A sexual aid, inserted in the dog’s vaginal area, got lodged inside of her, said SPCA investigators, adding the dog required professional medical care to remove the object.

The teen was released on a juvenile complaint to the custody of his mother.

The SPCA took possession of the animal and removed it from the home.

The dog would not suffer any long term effects from the incident, investigators said.
