ILLINOIS -- A 22-year-old Illinois man is accused of strangling his girlfriend's cats to death over a nine-month period.
John Talmo of Arlington Heights admitted he 'lost his temper' after the three cats scratched or bit him, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Moe Ahmad, leading to their barbaric death.
In June of 2012 authorities say Talmo was watching his girlfriend's cat named Princess when the cat killing started.
When Talmo's girlfriend returned home he told her the cat had died suddenly while in his care, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Four months later in October authorities say he strangled and beat a second cat named Abigail to death.
