Pit bull gets loose near elementary school, bites two children

PENNSYLVANIA -- Two children were injured on Friday afternoon after being bitten by a pit bull in Cumberland County. It happened around 1:30 p.m.near the Bellaire Elementary School located along the 900 block of Waggoner’s Gap Road in North Middleton Township. Officers responded to the school for a report of a dog bite.

Police say Elizabeth Otto, 23, of Carlisle, was walking her dog near the school when it managed to get loose and bit two children, police said.

The juveniles suffered minor injuries.

Charges are pending.
