5-year-old Kingston girl bitten in face by family dog

NEW YORK -- A 5-year-old girl on Jockey Hill Road in the Town of Kingston was bitten in the face by her family’s German shepherd Wednesday morning, Ulster County sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies said the girl suffered a severe cut to the face, and was flown to Albany Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The dog, which was current with its vaccinations, was placed under quarantine by the town’s animal control officer.
