This arrest was the result of an investigation regarding a cat that was found in the 3700 block of SCR 1200 on 4-14-13 with its ears and tail cut off.
The Midland County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant on 4-24-13 to search the property located at 3714 SCR 1200 #C after receiving a phone call from a potential witness identifying Mr. Benitez as the suspect.
Mr. Benitez was teken into custody without incident and is in the Midland County Detention Center. Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 has set the bond on Mr. Benitez at $25,000.
