PENNSYLVANIA -- A Mount Lebanon man who said he was attacked by a dog outside of a coffee shop last weekend said the owner took off after the incident.
Mount Lebanon police and animal control officers said they're searching for the pit bull and the pit bull's owner.
Paul Kruper said he was petting the dog when it suddenly turned on him and bit him on his nose.
"Honestly, when I was petting him it seemed like a nice dog," Kruper said.

Kruper said the attack happened outside of The Coffee Tree on Beverly Road last Saturday. He said the dog's owner was sitting at a table and had a harness on the animal. Kruper said he turned to wave at his wife and that's when the pit bull lunged at him.
"With its big front teeth he got me here. There are two puncture wounds and it quickly chipped my teeth. It hurt like a son of a gun. I couldn't see out of my eye. There was blood everywhere," said Kruper.
Kruper said he had to have a dozen stitches on his nose.
The dog's owner didn't leave any information and police now want to know if the dog had its vaccinations and is properly licensed.
Kruper said the owner needs to come forward so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
'The next time he could kill a kid," Kruper said. "The guy needs to come forward and have some social responsibility. Step up. That's how I was raised."
Police say, by law, if a dog bites someone the dog's owner is required to pay for the victim's medical bills.
