Warning to Bromsgrove pet owners after another dog on dog attack

UNITED KINGDOM -- Warnings have gone out to pet walkers in Stoke Heath after a second dog-on-dog attack in the area in a matter of months.

This graphic picture was posted on Facebook and shared a number of times after the incident in Harvest Close at around 7.15pm on Monday night (April 15).

Police confirmed the attack, involving chocolate labrador Jess and a dog thought to be a Pit Bull and Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, had been reported and that officers were investigating.

The Facebook post stated Jess had to undergo emergency surgery and that it was only thanks to the owner's thick coat that he suffered just minor injuries.

It comes after another incident that we reported earlier in the year when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier was attacked by another dog in Stoke Heath. That one, involving a Bull Mastiff, happened on January 19 near Granary Road and the field off Tollhouse Road.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information on either of the incidents should call police on 101.
