Boy attacked by dog in Millcreek

PENNSYLVANIA -- Millcreek police are investigating a dog attack that sent a 3-year-old boy to
a Pittsburgh hospital.

Police said the child suffered bite wounds to his groin and thigh area and was taken to
Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC for surgery.

The attack happened Saturday at about 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Marshall Drive but police
said it wasn't reported until today.

The dog, a large adult male pit bull, is being quarantined while an animal enforcement officer
investigates the incident, police said.
