Mark Jackson Crews, 31, charged with animal cruelty for spray-painting turtle, cat

FLORIDA -- A Baker County man was arrested earlier this month after a turtle and a cat were found spray painted.

On May 9, police were called to a home in the 500 block of Ivy Street for an animal complaint. A dark-colored cat had been spray painted silver. A turtle was later found painted the same color.

Mark Jackson Crews, 31

Mark Jackson Crews, 31, admitted to spray painting that cat but said he thought it was a stray. He also confessed to spray painting the turtle.

He was charged with cruelty to animals.
