The child was bitten on his head and shoulder by a dog that’s reportedly a pit bull, the sheriff’s office said. The child was taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m., but the sheriff’s office didn’t learn about the case until Friday night.
The child’s mother and neighbor were outside the home in the 2100 block of Ranchita Trail when they heard the dog growling inside the residence. They entered the home and found the dog attacking the child, police said.
The sheriff’s office said it didn’t have a current status on the child’s condition.

You need to watch the video from WTSP in which the reporter says the pit bull owner "did everything he could" to prevent the news crew from filming Animal Control removing the dog from his home, including shining flashlights towards their camera and also attempting to moon them in an effort to prevent them from being able to show the footage of the pit bull. However, police told the idiot if he did that, he'd be going to jail. What a moron.
