FLORIDA -- Deputies say a baby boy was bitten in the face by his family's pit bull.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says the one year old suffered a three-inch laceration to his cheek and was taken to UF Health Gainesville for treatment. He is expected to recover.
Deputies also tell us the family handed the pitbull over to Animal Control. The dog will be quarantined there for 10 days, but it's uncertain what will happen to the animal after that.
