Teen injured in second Ipswich dog attack

AUSTRALIA -- A 17-year-old girl has been attacked by two dogs near her home at Goodna, west of Brisbane.

The Ipswich City Council says animal control officers were called to Goodna on Thursday afternoon and seized the dogs.

The extent of the girl's injuries is unknown.

It is the second dog attack in Ipswich this week. A toddler was mauled by a family dog on Wednesday.

The 18-month-old boy suffered head injuries when a rottweiler attacked him about 10am. The boy's grandmother said she had only turned her back briefly.

“It was just a freak accident ... I couldn't do anything about it,” she told Channel Nine.
