Health department seeks information on dog

WISCONSIN -- The Marathon County Health Department is asking for help locating a dog that bit a woman on Thursday morning.

A woman reported she was bitten by the dog near the intersection of Highway J and the Mountain Bay Trail, across from Kluck’s Bar in the village of Weston.

The dog is described as a black and brown German shepherd with a dark colored collar.

If you are the owner of this dog or know who this dog belongs to, please contact the Marathon County Health Department at 715-261-1908, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department at 715-849-7785 or the Marathon County Humane Society at 715-845-2810.

Finding the dog could prevent the woman from having a series of rabies shots.
