Police Issue Citations After Dog Attack

IOWA -- Police have filed eight citations against the owner of two pit bulls in connection with an attack on a Clinton man last week.

Twenty-five year old Ryan Blume, of Clinton, faces four citations for each dog. The counts include having a dangerous dog, having a dog running loose, no proof of rabies vaccination and no proof of city license.

Police have not been able to find Blume and believe he may have fled to Dubuque.

The dogs are blamed for the attack on 31-year-old Benjamin Nave on July 2. One of the dogs was shot and killed that night. The other was shot, but has not been found.
