COLORADO -- An 8-eight-month girl has been hospitalized after a dog attacked her in Mesa County on Tuesday.
Paramedics rushed the infant to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Mesa County Animal Control removed the pit bull from the home on Ronlin Street. It took several officers to corral the animal.
The degree of the child’s injuries hasn’t been released and authorities say they will release more information when they know how the child is recovering.
It’s not clear who owns the pit bull and so far no charges have been filed.
