Police seeking dogs who bit women in separate attacks

SOUTH DAKOTA -- Animal Control in Sioux Falls is looking for two dogs that bit two women Thursday night in separate incidents.

Both bites were happened around 9:30 p.m.

In the first report, a 32-year-old woman was bitten in the leg by a brown dog. The dog was described as fat with shorter hair and was running loose when it bit the woman in Heritage Park, at Sixth Street and Nesmith Avenue.

In the second report, a dog bit a 51-year-old woman in the area of East 26th Street and South Cleveland Avenue. She was bitten on the nose when she bent down to pet the dog.

The dog was described as a cream-colored pit bull puppy, about 6-months-old, wearing a thick pink collar with floppy ears and a long tail.

The puppy was with two males and one female, all in their late teens to early 20s. One male was wearing a pink shirt and shorts and the other was wearing a dark colored shirt. The female had blonde hair and was small in stature.

Animal Control needs to identify the dogs to verify vaccinations. Anyone with information about either bite can call 367-7000.
