North Side woman jailed for beating dog

PENNSYLVANIA -- A North Side woman is being held in the Allegheny County Jail on a $25,000 bond, charged in connection with an incident Saturday that involved beating a dog.

Tairon Luster, 22, of Drum Street, faces a Sept. 13 preliminary hearing on charges of cruelty to animals, endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

The incident occurred Saturday on Drum Street when Ms. Luster became involved in a dispute with a neighbor.
