Police Investigate Animal Abuse Case

OHIO -- Officials are investigating a disturbing case of animal abuse.

Police say several dead animals were found on a farm near Cincinnati.  Four dead, decaying horse and cow carcasses were strewn around the property.

Animal control officers also took malnourished horses, sheep and goats.

Neighbors say they've seen the abuse, and it's not the first time the owner has been under investigation.

Clinton County Sheriff Ralph Fizer Jr. explains.

"We've been down there at least officially three times since March," Fizer said. "On the cruelty to dead animals, dead animal charges have been filed.  He's on probation, the judge has now revoked his probation."

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ken Huffaker.  The judge says when he's picked up, he'll be held without bond.

Update:
A Clinton County judge orders the owner of a Clinton County property where dead and malnourished animals were found, held on $1,500 bond.

Ken Huffaker turned himself in on Friday. He was already on probation for animal cruelty charges.
At least four dead horses and cow carcasses were found on the 30-acre property near Martinsville. Crews also took away several more starving horses, sheep and goats.

Huffaker was on probation for previous animal cruelty charges. The judge revoked his probation after determining Huffaker violated a court order to take proper care of his animals and keep his property cleaned up. He also faces four new counts of animal cruelty.
