Westport Animal Control Rescues Kitten From Inside Porsche Engine

CONNECTICUT -- A 5-week-old kitten trapped inside the engine compartment of a Porsche was safely rescued by members of Westport Animal Control.

The owner of the Porsche called Animal Control after she heard meowing coming from within the car. Chief Animal Control Officer Peter D’Amico and Animal Control assistant Kathleen Suchy, with help from a mechanic, were able to free the kitten.

The kitten was later taken to Schulhoff Animal Hospital, where he was treated free of charge.

"Besides slight dehydration and being very hungry, the kitten was in good health," Westport Animal Shelter Advocates said in a statement.

The kitten will remain at the hospital until he finds a home.

Anyone interested in adopting the kitten can contact Christian Benyai at Schulhoff Animal Hospital at 203-226-1231.
