Pathetic excuse of a man, Brett Neil, charged with cruelty after abusing his own dog

NEW YORK -- A Rochester man is facing animal cruelty charges after the Humane Society of Greater Rochester says a video surfaced of him dousing a dog with water from a hose.

Brett D. Neil, of Rochester, is charged with animal cruelty.

The Humane Society law enforcement officers obtained a video of a man, who they identified as Neil, dousing a German Shepherd dog with water from a hose and striking the dog with what looked like a rake. The video was posted on social media sites.

The dog, a one-year-old female German Shepard named Princess, is now being cared for at Lollypop Farm. Neil is scheduled to appear in Rochester City Court on Thursday. If convicted of the animal cruelty charge, Neil could face one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
