Man attacked by his son's two dogs

INDIANA -- Police said a Lafayette man was attacked by two dogs Tuesday night.

Lafayette police said it happened on the 3200 block of Pipers Glen Drive around 7:20 p.m. Investigators said 52-year-old Keith Balser was attacked outside and was injured on his hand and arm.

Officers said Balser was transported to the hospital and believed he will need surgery because of injuries. He was the father of the dog owner.


Both dogs are pit bull mixes and one was caught. As of 2:00 a.m.. Wednesday, the second dog had not been found. Officers said that dog is black and brown, answers to Chewy, and may be injured.

Investigators said the owners have been somewhat cooperating and may be cited after a full investigation.
