Oklahoma: Tulsa Woman, Shanterra Goff, Arrested For Animal Cruelty In Dog's Death

OKLAHOMA -- Tulsa County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman for animal cruelty Sunday afternoon. Shanterra Goff (DOB: 08/01/1990) left a dog outside without food or water with temperatures reaching 112 degrees, according to court records.

The dog died and was left out on an apartment balcony so long neighbors called management to complain of the smell, an animal control officer reports.

Goff, 23, lived in the 4000 block of South 130th East Avenue during the summer of 2012. She told the animal control officer that she went to visit a relative and didn't plan to be gone for a week.

"My aunt was trippin' and would not bring us home," Goff reportedly told animal control. "We didn't mean to leave the dog so long, but my aunt was trippin' and would not bring us back home.

In an affidavit, the animal control officer said the temperature range from a low of 88 degrees to a high of 112 degrees during the week the dog was left without food or water.

Goff was also booked on a complaint of no driver's license.

UPDATE:
Mugshots.com has Shanterra Goff as being arrested for Animal Cruelty in October 2015. I couldn't find a news story about it so maybe she was being picked up for violating her probation terms?
