Deer rescued from icy Ohio river

OHIO -- Jared Maitino and his brother-in-law just planned on doing some fishing at Ohio’s Chagrin River, but when they saw a deer struggling in the icy water, they sprang into action.

The pair originally came to the lake to go fishing but instead saw the deer and sprang into action.

Jared ran back to his truck and grabbed some ratchet straps after seeing the deer struggling in the water.

He made a lasso with the straps and on his first toss got it partially around the deer’s head.

Jared tightened the strap and pulled it out of the water and onto the shore.

The deer quickly stood up and took off.
