ILLINOIS -- A Williamson County woman has pleaded guilty to reckless conduct for a dog attack more than three years ago.
The Williamson County State's Attorney's Office says Tanya Holland, 48, entered an open plea of guilt during a court appearance Thursday.
Authorities said Holland was the owner of two pit bull mixes that attacked a five-year-old at Bush
Village Park in August 2010. The boy suffered severe bites to his head, face and legs. His mother also suffered injuries while trying to fight off the dogs.
According to authorities, Holland knew the dogs had violent tendencies and still allowed them to run loose. Both animals were put down after the attack.
A sentencing hearing for Holland is set for March 7.
