Families give testimony of Putnam County pit bull hearing

FLORIDA -- Both families testified in the hearing for a Putnam County owner's dog that attacked and killed a neighbor's cat.

The owner of the dangerous dogs, George Keech, of Putnam County, appeared in court Wednesday.

Of the cat's horrific mauling and death, the pit bull owner
sarcastically asked, "Isn't that what dogs do? Kill cats?"
According to the cat's owner, Tammie Wadeson, Keech will have to prove his animals are not dangerous.

Wadeson said his dogs already killed her cat, and she is worried the dogs will target her kids.

"My kids can't ride their bikes. My kids can't do anything here. We are trapped," Wadeson said.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the fate of the dogs will be determined in a few days after weighing testimony.
