OREGON -- Firefighters rescued a horse that got stuck in a creek in Gaston Wednesday.
Crews surrounded the horse and wrapped a hose around it, then pulled it to safety.
The animal lay on the ground for a while after the rescue, but eventually got up and walked around.
Its owner said it was doing even better by that evening.
The creek where the horse got stuck is located near Northwest Olson Road and Oregon Highway 47.
Gaston firefighters have been busy – they saved a different horse earlier this month.
In that incident, firefighters helped free a horse that got stuck on its back in a ditch between a wall and a six-foot embankment.
