Horse rescued after sliding down embankment and getting wedged

OREGON -- Fire crews helped free a horse in Gaston Tuesday after it became stuck on its back.

At 3 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a call at Northwest Goodin Creek Rd and found a horse stuck on its back between a wall and a six foot embankment.

The horse was assisted out of the tight spot and then moved to a driveway where it was assisted by a vet, according to the Gaston Rural Fire District.
