MINNESOTA -- A Fargo animal shelter is being sued by a Moorhead, Minn. man who claims one of the shelter's dogs severely attacked his cat.
Robert Myers says he brought the dog home on a trial basis from "4 Luv of Dog Rescue" in January.
Myers tells KFGO News that the cat's injuries were so serious, it had to be taken to Minneapolis for emergency surgery.
“We had to take him down to the University of Minnesota and they operated on him.” Myers said.
“We had to tube-feed him. His jaw was broke in four different places."
In a lawsuit filed in Clay County District Court, Myers is seeking $6,500 for veterinary bills, hotel rooms, gas and lost wages.
A hearing has been scheduled for next month in Moorhead.
