INDIANA -- People in the Geist area jumped to action Saturday morning after finding a strange sight.
A WISH-TV viewer Richard Bovey was with his son and another man working on a car when he noticed a deer had gotten stuck in a fence near the Geist Marina Saturday morning. He says one of the deer’s front legs had bent around the posts of the fence. The deer’s two back legs were through the fence.
Richard’s son, Gary, jumped to action and used a crow bar to get the deer out of the fence. After being freed, the deer ran off. It did not appear to be injured.
Richard says the group is in “disbelief” at what happened.
