Man indicted for shooting collie Lad in the face

KENTUCKY -- A Kentucky man officials say shot a collie in the face has been indicted on animal cruelty charges.

Members with the Arrow Fund say Matthew Beauchamp faces a Class D felony charge. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Beauchamp was the owner of the dog, named Lad.

The collie was found in Owensboro in February.

His injury displaced his jaw and he appeared to be malnourished.

Lad faces a long recovery.
