Minnesota: Chaska Police officer responds to two turkeys blocking the road; advises them to move on

MINNESOTA -- This was posted on the Chaska Police Department's Facebook page:

It’s that time of year again! Male turkeys (literally turkeys, not the guys you ladies are irritated with) can come across as being a tad aggressive this time of year as they try to establish dominancy during the mating season.

This attempting to establish dominancy also applies to all vehicles that may cross an angry Tom (male turkey), even a police squad car as shown by the several pictures.

A Chaska officer took the pictures after being called to an area on Norex Drive for an animal complaint. Two aggressive turkeys were approaching vehicles and not allowing them to pass. It was reported several vehicles turned around and drove the opposite direction due to the fowl road obstruction.

The officer advised the reporting party to just slowly drive forward and the turkeys will eventually move out of the way.

We hope Tom 1 and Tom 2, as shown in the pictures, relax a bit soon and enjoy the spring weather. It’s been a long winter for everyone!
