Pit bull attacks 2 people including owner

NEW MEXICO -- APD and city animal welfare officers were called out to the 300 block of Dallas near Copper in northeast Albuquerque around 7:30 p.m. Saturday after reports that a pit bull attacked two people.

Officials say it’s too early in the investigation to say what led up the attack, but they do say the dog’s owner was one of the victims.

Officials say the dog was dead before they arrived, but will not say how it died. They’re also not releasing the conditions of the victims.
