INDIANA -- An East Bloomfield man is facing animal cruelty charges.
Sheriff’s deputies say Gary Sims, 54, of East Bloomfield, did not provide proper care for his yellow Labrador retriever. Sheriff's deputies say he failed to provide medication that was needed for an intestinal parasite.
Officers from the Humane Society took the dog from the home on July 1.
Sims will answer to the charges in the Town of East Bloomfield Court at a later date.
