Poodle killed by two pit bulls in Stuart

FLORIDA -- A Stuart man watched two stray pit bulls attack his poodle during a morning walk and the poodle had to be put down due to the severity of the injuries.

Dan McKinley said the two pit bulls came running out of the woods near SE Black Oak Lane and a brown pit bull attacked his poodle “Lucky”.

 

According to McKinley, he kicked the brown dog in the head trying to get him to let go of the poodle.

McKinley rushed “Lucky” to a pet clinic but the veterinarian euthanized the poodle due to his severe injuries.

 

Both pit bulls were impounded at the Humane society of the Treasure Coast and the owner, Mr. Bobby Spears, was allowed to come claim the dogs since they have been declared “pre-dangerous”.

Police are investigating the incident.
