FLORIDA -- An unneutered pit bull bit three people Tuesday afternoon and a Flagler County sheriff’s deputy Tasered the dog to subdue it, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The incident occurred at 1:39 p.m. at 16 Princess Louise Lane, sheriff’s spokesman Cmdr. Bob Weber said. None of the people bitten by the dog were identified by the Sheriff’s Office.
The call to 9-1-1 came from a woman who said she was watching the dog for her brother, Weber said. The call came in as a medical call and deputies were dispatched for backup. “The CAD (computer aided dispatch) notes indicate the dog was extremely vicious,” Weber said.
The dog was Tasered, Weber said, and then confined to one area of the home so paramedics could come in to treat the patients. Initially the dispatch notes said two people were bitten by the dog and that was later updated to three, Weber said.
The dog was later euthanized, Weber said.
