TEXAS -- Animal Control removed a pit bull from a home in northeast Houston Tuesday after it attacked a woman walking in a neighborhood.
According to Houston police, the woman was walking in the 3700 block of Liberty Road when the dog went after her.
“I came from my house and was walking down the sidewalk and then all of a sudden this dog just jumped out and started barking at me,” the woman said. “I was waving my hands so he would go away, but he didn’t. He bit me.”
Police said the dog is considered to be aggressive and has chased several people away. The home has a fence around it, but the dog managed to get out.
The victim was treated at the scene. She did not want to be transported to the hospital.
