Flagler Police save cat caught in garage door

FLORIDA -- It was literally the cat's meow that led a Flagler Beach police officer to save a feline in a really tight spot.

The picture will give you "paws." The officer found the cat trapped between a garage door and door frame on Flagler Avenue on Friday morning.

Police figure the cat was on top of the open garage door, and when it was closed, the cat was pinned.

Officers in Flagler Beach are encouraged to drive around with their windows open to hear what's going on, and one heard the cat meowing.

He called firefighters to help in the rescue, and the cat is OK -- though likely down one of its nine lives.
