Union Co. deputy's son attacked by dog

SOUTH CAROLINA -- Union County deputies have reported a child was attacked Wednesday by a neighbor's dog.

The Sheriff's Office confirmed that the child is the the son of a deputy. According to reports, the child reached down to pet the dog, Lucky, when it lunged at the child's face, biting him four times.

Deputies said the child kicked the dog away and ran. The child reportedly suffered several lacerations and was taken to the ER for medical treatment.

Lucky's owners reported the dog was not up-to-date on its shots.
