Barrie police say smaller dog attacked by larger dog

CANADA -- A dog owner has been charged after police say the animal attacked another dog in the city's north end.

Barrie police say they were contacted by a dog owner around noon Saturday stating her dog had been attacked by a much larger one and dragged down the street.

Police say the smaller dog suffered serious injuries and was scheduled to undergo surgery.

The owner of the offending dog was charged by a bylaw officer under a city bylaw.
