Pit bull attacks 3-year-old, owner arrested

ARKANSAS --  A three year old girl is in stable condition after a pit bull attack.

The Smackover police chief says her mother, Holly Enlow, was moving them in to a new home and she knew there were ill tempered dogs living in the house.

Hmm, I dunno... these dogs look like Boxer mixes, hound mixes...
they should do DNA testing on them.

The chief tells KNOE, three of the dogs were accidentally let out and attacked the girl. She was later flown to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas where she is in stable condition.

KNOE 8 News has learned that the dogs directly involved in the attack were euthanized Wednesday morning, so they could be tested for rabies. The other two adults and nine puppies will most likely be adopted out by animal control.

The chief says, the owner of the dogs, Michael Sikes, has been arrested for three counts of vicious dog at large and one outstanding warrant in Union County.

A total of five adult dogs and nine puppies were seized from the home by animal control.
