Roy Zumwalt charged with animal cruelty

OKLAHOMA-- A Duncan man was charged Monday with animal cruelty after emaciated horses were allegedly found outside his house.

Stephens County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Laughlin said Roy Zumwalt, 47, had two emaciated horses on Fuller Road between Old U.S. 81 and new U.S. 81.

Zumwalt said they were in poor condition when he got them, and he fed and watered them and provided medication, according to an incident report.

Zumwalt surrendered the horses to veterinary care, according to a report.
