Woman injured while helping cat during dog attack

PENNSYLVANIA -- A woman was attacked by two loose dogs after she tried hitting them with a piece of cast iron metal to stop them from biting her cat on Monday afternoon.

The woman told Lancaster police that she saw two dogs running around her property and heard them barking when she looked out to see them attacking her cat, according to police reports. The call was reported in the 2400 block of West Fair Avenue.

Both the woman and the cat were injured. The woman had bites to her arm and the cat had severe injuries, the report said. She told police she would go to the hospital for treatment.
