Jury selected for case against Angielina Lara who left her dog outside to freeze to death

TEXAS -- The trial of Angela Lara (aka Angielina Lara), 29, began Tuesday with jury selection.

Lara faces a state jail felony charge of cruelty to animals. According to police, Lara left two dogs outside in freezing temperatures in February 2011. The police said the dogs did not have shelter or bedding.

One of the dogs was found frozen to death.

Testimony is expected to begin on Wednesday in the 104th District Court.
